Copying Existing Schedules

At the WestSide congregation, we like to create schedules for one month at a time. In section 2.4 we walked you through setting up the schedule for week 1. We need to create 4 more schedules because some months have 5 Sundays in them and we need a schedule for each week. All 5 schedules are to be identical, except for the schedule name.

Figure 4.1 shows the Copy menu that will be used to copy an existing schedule. This menu item will save us the time it took to set up the schedule items. All we have to do for the remaining 4 schedules is select the schedule we want to copy and then click the Copy menu item. Figure 4.2 shows the screen that we get after selecting the Copy menu item. The first thing we have to do on this screen is to enter a description for the new schedule. We are going to enter a description of ‘Worship Services – Week 2’ for the first copy. Since our services are the same for every week, we are finished setting up the schedule for week 2. If we had a slightly different schedule for week 2, then we would make the changes at this point.
