Worship Scheduler Software
Creating a Database
The first step to using the Scheduler is to
set up the database. The database will keep track of information such as member
names and the jobs each member is willing and capable of performing.
Each time you open the Scheduler, you will
get the screen shown in Figure 2.1. After you
have set up your database(s), you will select the database you want to use from
the Open existing database list and click OK to start the Scheduler with the selected database. The first time
you start Scheduler, you will not have created
your own database. We have included a sample database to give you some ideas on
how your database should look. You can select the Sample.sdb database and click OK to open it, or you can select the Create new database option to go ahead and start
creating your own database. In this chapter, we will walk you through creating
your own database.
Figure 2.1 Select Database Screen
To create your own database, select the Create new database option and click OK. You will get the Save
As screen shown in Figure 2.2. Select
the file location where you will keep your database and type a name for the
database. We suggest you use the name of your congregation or group for the file
name.
Figure 2.2 Save As Screen
Once you have selected the location and have typed in the file name, click Save. You will now see the main program screen as
shown in Figure 2.3. The currently selected
database will be shown in the title bar and on the upper-left of the menu. The
selected database shown in Figure 2.3 is
[WestSide], which is the one we just
created.
